Our key coaches, Rob and Jamie, hold the Commander Charles Thompson 25 year service award, and have been active members of Jackson's Bay SLSC for decades.
Rob is a local lifeguard legend, retired firefighter and is passionate about public safety. His favourite event is board. Rob coaches Tuesday sessions where the emphasis is on race pace and run-swim-run.
Jamie is a surf enthusiast, triathlete, hot on beach flags and loves his Friday sessions. The favourite is the long 3 Bays 'around the headlands' swim into the sunset.
Our Secretary Lissa has been involved in surf lifesaving since the reel and line days, having 3 Welsh caps and many beach event titles in Masters.
Billy is our assistant coach, ironman, firefighter and safety advisor.
Taran is our assistant coach, surf race enthusiast and board / tube rescue competitor. He is also pretty swift in manikin and rope rescue events.
