The club was set up due to a tragic drowning accident on Llanfairfechan Beach in July 2021.
The purpose of the club is to save life and improve the safety of Llanfairfechan Beach through prevention, rescue, training and teaching of surf lifesaving skills in particular but not exclusively by:
1. Promoting the water safety aspect to all beach activities.
2. Developing beach lifesaving methods in all their respects.
3. Providing coaching and competitive opportunities in the sport of surf lifesaving
